The President signed the Federal Law On Ratifying the Protocol between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) on Introducing Amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the CSTO on the Conditions of Stay of the CSTO Joint Staff on the territory of the Russian Federation of November 26, 2007.
The protocol was signed in Moscow on December 27, 2016.
The protocol was amended to align the Agreement with the legal acts of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO), increase social protection for family members of CSTO Joint Staff service personnel and to specify the conditions of stay of CSTO Joint Staff on the territory of the Russian Federation.
