Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office and Chairman of the Presidium of the Presidential Council for Interethnic Relations Magomedsalam Magomedov read the President’s message of greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the event.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr Magomedov noted that long-standing experience testifies to the considerate attitude of the national leaders to the concerns of the indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North, in particular, to the activities of theRussian Association of the Indigenous Peoples of the North, Siberia and Far East. He emphasised that safeguarding the rights and protecting the primordial living environment and the traditional way of life of these small ethnic communities has been and remains a priority of the government’s ethnic policies.
