Presidential Aide and State Council Secretary Igor Levitin and Kaliningrad Region Governor Anton Alikhanov chaired a videoconference meeting of the State Council commission on small and medium-sized businesses.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Government Executive Office, federal executive government bodies, constituent entities of the Russian Federation, state corporations, public organisations, development institutions and from small and medium-sized business communities.
Opening the meeting, Igor Levitin emphasised that the commission’s focus was on analysing the current situation and drafting measures and proposals to improve mechanisms of support for small and medium-sized businesses. In his Address to the Federal Assembly, the President instructed the Government to submit proposals on supporting these businesses, in part with tax benefits, subsidised loans and broader sales partly to large state companies. One of the commission’s tasks is to analyse and discuss new initiatives and proposals in cooperation with the Government.
In his report, Anton Alikhanov explained the methods for calculating employment in small and medium-sized businesses and measures to support small business in the regions. He outlined the commission’s approach for 2021.
Presidential Commissioner for Entrepreneurs’ Rights Boris Titov delivered a report on overcoming the consequences of the pandemic by small and medium-sized businesses and key solutions for their recovery.
Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Yelena Dybova talked about the problems, challenges and trends linked with the demand for personnel in small and medium-sized businesses.
The relevant ministries will study the proposals made at the meeting.
