The President signed Federal Law On Amendments to Article 4 of the Russian Federation Law On Mass Media and Article 7 of Federal Law On Advertising.
The Federal Law amends the Law of the Russian Federation On Mass Media, which bans the distribution of information on methods of developing, producing and using narcotic and psychoactive substances, on places to purchase new potentially dangerous psychoactive substances, and on methods and locations of cultivating plants that contain narcotic or psychoactive substances of their precursors, as well as information that promotes any benefits of their use, in mass media and information and telecommunications networks.
The Federal Law On Advertising envisages banning the advertising of new potentially dangerous psychoactive substances.
