Agreement on developing Russia-Tajikistan cooperation in combating crime and migration ratified

Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan on the Legal Status of Representative Offices of Competent Authorities for Internal Affairs and Migration in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan.

The Agreement was signed in Dushanbe on October 9, 2025.

The Agreement is aimed at developing international cooperation in combating transnational crime, illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their precursors, as well as addressing issues related to migration.

In order to enhance bilateral cooperation in these areas, the Russian side will open a representative office of the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation in Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan. In turn, the Tajikistani side will establish a representative office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan in Moscow, along with a representative office of the Ministry of Labour, Migration, and Employment of Population of the Republic of Tajikistan in Moscow.
