The message reads, in part:

“I want to warmly greet the participants of the 10^th Russia-China Summer Youth Games, which are being held in Russia’s westernmost region – the Kaliningrad Region, which celebrates its 80^th anniversary this year.

I am pleased to note that since their inception in Tianjin in 2006, this major international project has steadily expanded its unifying, educational, and creative potential, evolving into a vibrant celebration of sport, youth, and cultural and professional exchange. Hosting these Games fully reflects the traditionally friendly and partner relations between the peoples of Russia and China and serves as an important element of our humanitarian cooperation.

I firmly believe that the Games will be successful, remembered for the excitement of competition and the joy of victory, while also giving participants and guests a wonderful opportunity to discover the unique natural beauty of the Amber Land and its rich historical and cultural heritage. And, of course, your meetings and interactions will help strengthen trust and mutual understanding between the younger generations of our two countries and broaden personal and human connections.”
