The President signed Executive Order On Amendments to Presidential Executive Order No. 172 of March 31, 2022, On the Special Procedure to Allow Foreign Buyers to Meet Their Obligations to Russian Natural Gas Suppliers.
The Executive Order extends the permission to allow foreign buyers to pay for Russian gas in rubles until July 1, 2026, not only through Gazprombank but also through other Russian banks. Previously, this provision had been set to expire on April 1, 2026.
