Vladimir Putin approved a list of instructions following the meeting on flood relief efforts in the Republic of Daghestan, held on April 7, 2026.
The Government has been instructed to establish a Government Commission for Flood Relief in the Republic of Daghestan and include representatives of federal executive bodies, the executive bodies of the Republic of Daghestan, and Deputy Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District Magomed Ramazanov. Minister for Civil Defence, Emergencies, and Natural Disaster Relief Alexander Kurenkov, has been appointed Chairman of the Commission.
Additionally, the Government, jointly with the Emergencies Ministry, has been instructed to report on the results of disaster relief efforts following the floods in the Republic of Daghestan in March–April 2026 and on the implementation of support measures for victims.
