The President signed Executive Order On the Authorised Personnel Strength of the Russian Armed Forces.
As per Article 4 of Federal Law No. 61-FZ of May 31, 1996, On Defence, the President has ordered to establish the authorised personnel strength of the Russian Federation Armed Forces at 2,441,630 personnel, including 1,550,500 military personnel.
The Government of the Russian Federation has been instructed to allocate corresponding federal budget funds to the Defence Ministry.
