Vladimir Putin sent greetings to winner of the Para alpine Super-G skiing competition at the XIV Paralympic Winter Games for athletes with physical impairments Varvara Voronchikhina.
The message reads, in part:
“You have brilliantly represented Russia at the Paralympic Games in Italy. In the Para alpine Super-G skiing competition, you demonstrated refined skill and a winning spirit, rightfully earning your place on the top step of the podium. Well done! And, of course, special words of recognition and gratitude go to your coaches and mentors. We are proud of you and your teammates, who are performing with dignity under the national flag of our country.”
