At Saudi Arabia’s initiative, Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud.
The King of Saudi Arabia highly assessed Russia’s efforts to normalise the complicated situation in Yemen and expressed gratitude for Russia’s position during the adoption of UN Security Council Resolution No. 2216 on April 14.
Both leaders reaffirmed their readiness to deepen coordination between the two countries on the regional and international agendas. They expressed their mutual desire to continue building up mutually advantageous bilateral cooperation in a wide range of areas.
Mr Putin invited the King of Saudi Arabia to visit Russia.
