Telephone conversation with President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan

Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.

Mr Putin congratulated Mr Sargsyan on his birthday.

Discussing the issues pertaining to Russian-Armenian cooperation, both leaders noted the high, advanced level of such cooperation and also exchanged opinions on integration processes in progress within the framework of the  Eurasian Economic Union.

Earlier in the day, the President of Russia sent the President of Armenia a telegram of congratulations on his birthday.

The message reads, in part:

“Over the course of your career in state service, you have earned well-deserved respect of your fellow citizens and won high authority on the international arena. I greatly value your personal input into strengthening friendly, allied relations between our nations.

I have warm memories of your visit to Moscow, when you and I took part in the events commemorating the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. I await our future meetings, the continuation of constructive dialogue and close cooperation for the good of the brotherly peoples of Russia and Armenia.”
