Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to the family of Valentin Zorin following his death.
In his message to Mr Zorin’s family, the President said, in particular:
“A true patriarch of Russia’s international journalism school and a talented writer and publicist has left us. For the colleagues, friends, and everyone who know this extraordinary and tremendously erudite man, Valentin Zorin was a real example of the highest professionalism, amazing capacity for hard work, and devotion to his job.”
Prominent Soviet and Russian political analyst, historian specialised in American studies, TV host and political commentator Valentin Zorin died on April 27 in Moscow, aged 91.
