Vladimir Putin sent a message of congratulations to Abdulrashid Sadulayev, Olympic champion and winner of the men’s 86-kg division freestyle wrestling competition at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The message reads, in part:
“A two-time world champion, you have now added an Olympic gold to your achievements in your sports career. Your coaches, family and friends, and all of Russia are justifiable proud of this medal.
I am certain that this outstanding achievement will encourage you to conquer new heights in sport.”
