Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to participants, organisers and guests of the 13th Chekhov International Theatre Festival, which this year celebrates 25 years since its establishment.
The message reads, in part:
“This creative festival is one of our biggest and most promising international humanitarian cooperation projects. Over these years, it has occupied its rightful place among the big events in the cultural life of Russia and other countries and has brought to audiences some of the best theatrical works, both classical and modern.
I am certain that the festival will be a success and will bring us more memorable premieres, meetings with talented masters, and a special inspired atmosphere. Of course, it will also help to implement new interesting ideas and plans and strengthen professional and friendly ties”.
