Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to everyone taking part in the 28th Kinotavr Open Russian Film Festival.
The President said, in particular, in his message:
“More than 25 years have passed since this marvellous creative project began. Kinotavr is just as fresh and youthful as ever though, and remains a vivid and much anticipated event in our country’s cultural life today. It is always at the heart of cinematographic life, is an influential platform for professional exchange, and brings films of genuine depth and quality to the viewers. The festival can take deserved pride in its rich history and traditions.
I am sure that this year’s festival will be remembered for its programme full of interesting works that are worthy of attention, will boost our film industry’s development, and promote our films on markets abroad”.
The festival takes place in Sochi on June 7−14.
