Vladimir Putin sent greetings to participants, organisers and guests of the Mashuk 2017 North Caucasus Youth Forum underway in Pyatigorsk on August 5–19.
The message reads, in part:
“It is important that such topical and relevant tasks as developing the North Caucasus have brought together in Pyatigorsk talented and active young people who want to make their personal contribution to major programmes tapping the region’s socioeconomic potential, improving its infrastructure and quality of life, and strengthening the inter-ethnic accord.
It should be noted that the organisers made sure that your visit to Stavropol Territory is productive and comfortable. They offered an intense and diverse events programme, including panel discussions and roundtables, meetings with prominent politicians, experts, public figures, as well as exciting tours and sports competitions.
I am sure that you will spend quality time in Pyatigorsk and discover new opportunities for spiritual and professional growth, make new friends and meet like-minded people and, of course, enjoy a great holiday.”
