Vladimir Putin congratulated the personnel and veteran workers of the Federal Medical-Biological Agency on the agency’s 70th anniversary.
The message reads, in part:
“The story of the FMBA began in August 1947, when a medical-biological department was established at the Soviet Union’s Healthcare Ministry. Since then, the agency has contributed a great deal to the medical and sanitary welfare of the personnel of the country’s key high-tech industries, high performance sports and also residents of restricted administrative and territorial entities and science towns.
The agency has accumulated a powerful research and personnel potential and a network of treatment and research establishments. It is important that the agency’s personnel are not only trying to maintain the high professional standards that have been set by their predecessors, but also propose novel solutions to modern challenges. Your contribution is invaluable in emergencies as well.
I wish you health and welfare, as well as success in your highly responsible work for the benefit of the country.”
