Vladimir Putin will visit St Petersburg on November 17

On November 17, the President will visit St Petersburg. He will meet with Russian cultural figures and chair a meeting on support of talented artists at the Mariinsky Theatre’s New Stage.

Plans also include a meeting with the board of trustees of the Mariinsky Theatre to discuss, among other things, the development of the theatre and its branches, the results of the Year of Stravinsky, as well as projects related to the celebration of Marius Petipa’s 200th birthday in 2018. The President will then take part in the opening ceremony of the VI St Petersburg International Cultural Forum.

On the same day, the President of Russia will meet with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev who will be in Russia on a working visit and will take part in the events of the cultural forum.

The two heads of state will discuss aspects of long-standing constructive cooperation in the interests of strengthening wide-ranging Russian-Kyrgyz relations.

The Russian party highly appreciates Mr Atambayev’s personal contribution to promoting a strategic partnership with Russia and the development of bilateral interaction within integration associations in the Eurasian space.
