On December 1, Vladimir Putin will speak at the Bishops’ Council of the Russian Orthodox Church and will attend the Final Draw for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia

On December 1, the President will speak at the Bishops’ Council of the Russian Orthodox Church, which is underway in the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow and is timed for the 100th anniversary of the Revival of the Patriarchal Office.

The Bishops’ Council, which is the supreme body of the Russian Orthodox Church, is being attended by the bishops of the Moscow Patriarchate from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Estonia and other countries where the Russian Orthodox Church has dioceses.

Later the same day, the President of Russia will attend the Final Draw for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia. Over 1,300 people have been invited to this event, which will be held at the State Kremlin Palace, including 30 of the 32 head coaches of the participating teams. The draw is held to determine the teams that will play in each group and the schedule for the first 48 matches.

Before the final draw, Vladimir Putin will meet with world football stars, who have come to Moscow for the ceremony, including Nikita Simonyan, Diego Maradona and Fabio Cannavaro.
