Vladimir Putin congratulated Lieutenant General Mikhail Beregovoy (retired), former Chief of the Air Defence Force’s Radio-Technical Troops, on his 100th birthday.
The message reads, in part:
“You have devoted your entire life to serving the Motherland, and you fought on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. After the war, you made a substantial contribution to strengthening the country’s defence capability and to developing its Armed Forces.
Your career as an officer and military commander is an outstanding example of courage and loyalty to duty.”
