Condolences on the plane crash in Moscow Region

Vladimir Putin expressed deep condolences to all those who lost their relatives and friends as a result of the crash of a passenger aircraft in the Moscow Region.

The President also instructed the Government to establish a special commission to investigate the causes of the plane crash. The head of state instructed the relevant agencies to conduct the necessary search operations.

The An-148 Saratov Airlines passenger airliner departed from Moscow to Orsk (Orenburg Region), with 65 passengers and 6 crew members on board. Several minutes after takeoff, the airliner disappeared from radar screens, and communication with the crew was lost. Later, the wreckage of the aircraft was found in the Ramensky District, Moscow Region. According to preliminary information, there are no survivors.
