Vladimir Putin congratulated workers and veterans of the railway transport system on Railway Workers’ Day.
The message reads, in part:
“The railway industry holds a special part in the life of our vast country, in its spatial development, and in the realisation of its unique logistic and transit potential. The steel threads of Russian railways ensure reliable transport communication between regions and directly influence social, economic and industrial growth, while guaranteeing the well-being of adjacent cities and settlements.
It is gratifying that Russian railway workers greet their professional holiday with serious achievements. Thanks to our well-coordinated work, traffic on the new route Zhuravka – Millerovo was commissioned one year earlier than planned, and other projects in high demand are also being successfully implemented. It is important to highlight that thanks to the integration of innovation technologies, workforce productivity and the overall efficiency of the complex’s work in general have been steadily increasing.
I am positive that the experience, competence, honest and conscientious work ethic, and commitment to the wonderful traditions of our predecessors will allow us to further achieve the goals we have set.”
