Vladimir Putin arrived in Vladivostok on a working trip

The President boarded a helicopter at the airport and flew to Russky Island.

The President will chair a meeting of the State Council Presidium to discuss measures set forth in the May 2018 Presidential Executive Order to ensure priority socioeconomic development of the Russian Far East.

Later Vladimir Putin will meet with Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe. Both leaders will visit the Mazda Sollers engine plant in a Vladivostok suburb, where they will take part in the launching of the assembly line and will later return to Russky Island for subsequent talks.

A number of documents are expected to be signed following the consultations. Vladimir Putin and Shinzo Abe will also make press statements.
