Inspecting project designs of a museum and a theatre complexes in Vladivostok

As part of his working trip to Vladivostok, Vladimir Putin inspected project designs of the city’s museum and theatre complexes.

The purpose of building the complexes is to expand cultural links with the Asia-Pacific region, and to introduce residents of the Far Eastern region and foreign tourists to the best examples of Russian culture.

The project includes building a concert hall for the Mariinsky Theatre, and a museum centre with a depository for branches of the State Hermitage, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the State Museum of Oriental Art, the Primorye State Art Gallery, and the Higher School of Music and Performing Arts. In addition, a branch of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory’s school of music, premises for the Vladivostok branch of the Russian Ballet Academy, and a residential complex for teachers, actors, and students will be built on Russky Island.
