Vladimir Putin is to visit Kazakhstan on November 8–9

On November 8–9, the Russian President will pay a working visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On November 8, the President of Russia will attend a session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO). The participants will discuss key international and regional issues and the further promotion of cooperation between CSTO members. They will sign about 20 documents, including the CSTO Collective Security Council Final Declaration.

On November 9, Petropavlosk will host the XV Russia- Kazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum that will be attended by the presidents of the two countries and devoted to new trends in the development of tourism. Vladimir Putin will make a speech at the plenary session of the forum and will visit, together with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, an exhibit of successful joint tourism programmes. A number of bilateral agreements have been drafted for signing.

In addition, the two presidents will discuss bilateral cooperation in various areas while in Petropalovsk. They will also attend the presentation of the Baiterek space rocket project.
