Vladimir Putin sent greetings to participants, organisers and guests of the 37th Lyzhnya Rossii [Russian Ski Track] nationwide mass ski race.
The message reads, in part:
“These traditional competitions are famous for their friendly informal atmosphere and are rightly considered one of the season’s most important and large-scale events. They unite skiing fans across the country into one closely-knit team, offer everyone a chance to try test their skills, to compete alongside professionals and recognised athletes, and to feel the support of their families and friends.
Of course, the famous Russian Ski Track race makes it evident how important fitness and sports, as well as an active and healthy lifestyle are for the young and people of all ages.”
