Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to the participants and guests of the National Forum Health of the Nation – Basis of Russia’s Prosperity held in Moscow on May 29–31.
The message reads, in part:
“By tradition your prestigious forum unites many respectable participants because the issues that are raised there are of truly nationwide importance and largely determine the quality of life and well-being of the people and effective solutions of major demographic policy problems in our country.
First and foremost, we are speaking about ways of improving the health of the population, developing medical science, promoting the values of large families and an active lifestyle, and improving the environment.
Needless to say, these problems require constructive as well as productive cooperation of the bodies of government, scientific, expert and business communities. Only relying on such broad support is it possible for us to achieve tangible results.
I am confident that this forum will be a success and will help draft new proposals and initiatives that will meet the realities of our time.”
