Vladimir Putin sent greetings to Leo Bokeria, member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and honorary president of the Bakulev National Medical Research Centre of Cardiovascular Surgery, on his 80th birthday.
The message reads, in part:
“You have dedicated your life to an important and noble goal, made a unique personal contribution to the development of the Russian school of cardiology and healthcare in general, and brought up several generations of talented specialists. Thousands of patients are sincerely grateful to you for the high-quality medical care, as well as for your attentiveness, advertence and emotional warmth.
And, of course, I must also note your fruitful public activities and participation in the implementation of socially important, needed initiatives.”
