Vladimir Putin congratulated Russian notaries on the significant occasion of the 160th anniversary of the notarial system in Russia.
The message reads, in part:
“In April 1866, the Provisional Regulations on Notarial Practice were adopted, laying the foundations for the notarial system as an independent institution of public law. Throughout these years, the notarial system has played a significant role in the life of the state and society, fostering a strong sense of professional community, commitment to duty, and adherence to enduring ethical standards.
It is gratifying that the current generation of notaries carefully preserves the traditions established by their predecessors and successfully addresses the key tasks before them, above all, protecting the rights and legitimate interests of individuals and legal entities, ensuring the security of economic activity and performing preventive justice functions. I would also like to note with satisfaction that in carrying out your responsibilities, you make use of the most advanced technologies and approaches, tirelessly improving the quality of services you render.
I am confident that you will continue to work in good faith and serve the law with integrity.”
