Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to the participants and guests of the 20th award ceremony of the Russian Paralympic Committee's Return to Life prize.
The message reads, in part:
“This ceremony is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Russian Paralympic Committee, which we marked last year. That is why there are so many remarkable Paralympians – respected, strong-willed, courageous and talented people – among this year’s prize winners, those who stood at the origins of the Russian Paralympic Committee, promoted the admirable traditions of the Russian Paralympic movement, and achieved spectacular victories at the most prestigious competitions.
Of course, I would like to emphasise the high training standards and outstanding performance of our athletes at the 14th Paralympic Winter Games in Italy in 2026. Our team has won an impressive number of medals and demonstrated an inspiring example of hard work, and faith in themselves and their abilities. It is these resilient and determined people who are awarded the Return to Life prize.”
