Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants and guests of the International Tournament of Law Enforcement Agencies for the President’s Sambo Cup.
The message reads, in part:
“Your tournament has a special place among the leading martial arts competitions, since it has a mission of bringing together professionals who have devoted their lives to serving the Law, defending our country’s national interests and ensuring security for our people. Of course, I would like to praise the Cup’s organisers and participants for their contribution to developing sambo, promoting the values which are inherent to martial arts, and a healthy and active lifestyle, especially among young people.”
