Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants, organisers, and guests of the 3rd international research and practice conference Greater Altai – the Ancestral Homeland of the Turks.
The message reads, in part:
“Over the years, the Conference has earned considerable international standing, bringing together scholars, cultural figures, representatives of the educational sphere, government and civic bodies, and recognised experts from many countries in pursuit of its objectives.
Its platform hosts substantive expert dialogue on matters of history and art, discussions of research findings in the fields of Turkic and Altaic studies, and the proposal of promising ideas and initiatives aimed at preserving the rich spiritual heritage of the peoples of Eurasia.
I am convinced that, continuing the fine traditions of previous meetings, this Conference will unfold in an atmosphere of constructive and engaged communication, and will give rise to a vibrant array of joint projects that will serve to further strengthen region-to-region and international humanitarian cooperation.”
