Olga Malyshko – winner of the 2012 President's Prize for Young Cultural Professionals
The prize was awarded for Olga Malyshko’s contribution to the development of local history and ensuring the integration of the Altai Territory’s information resources in the global information space.
Olga Malyshko is the chief bibliographer at the Shishkov Altai Regional Research Library’s Local History Department, the Altai Territory. She was born on July 26, 1979 in Barnaul and has won a number of professional contests and prizes.
The Altai Regional Research Library is a major local history resource for the Altai region and an active contributor to the local history movement in the Altai Territory.
Olga Malyshko initiated and organised the ERA Electronic Resources of Altai local history website (http://altlib.ru/). The website presents unique integrated electronic resources for the Altai Territory for the first time: the Altai Territory consolidated database, Electronic Library containing pre-revolutionary texts and rare books from the library, digital collections of local history publications, and digitised library publications. Olga Malyshko leads the group of compilers of Altai Territory and Barnaul Chronograph calendars of memorable dates. The website is an information platform for the local history community and represents the Altai Territory is Russia’s electronic map.
Olga Malyshko is also the initiator and organiser of the work to promote information about the Altai Territory in social networks.
Yulia Peresild – winner of the 2012 President's Prize for Young Cultural Professionals
The prize was awarded for Yulia Peresild’s contribution to the development of national theatre and cinema.
Yulia Peresild is a stage and screen actress, winner of prestigious Russian theatre and film prizes and awards. She was born on September 5, 1984 in Pskov.
Yulia Peresild graduated from the Russian University of Theatre Arts in 2006. She took part in performances of the State Theatre of Nations and the Moscow Drama Theatre on Malaya Bronnaya.
2003 saw Yulia Peresild’s cinema debut. Her film credits now include about 30 films.
Yulia Peresild’s outstanding acting talent makes her a worthy successor of Russian psychological theatre traditions. In her creative work she combines warm-heartedness with sincere openness, hard work with a sense of responsibility to art and the audience.
Yevgeny Sosedov – winner of the 2012 Presidential Prize for Young Cultural Professionals
The prize was awarded for Yevgeny Sosedov’s contribution to the preservation of the Moscow Region’s historical appearance.
Yevgeny Sosedov is Chairman of the Moscow regional branch of the national public organisation National Society for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments. He was born on January 8, 1988 in the settlement of Arkhangelskoye, Krasnogorsk County, Moscow Region.
Yevgeny Sosedov graduated from the Law Faculty of Russian State University of Trade and Economics in 2009.
Since 2005, he has been working to protect historical estate complexes and archaeological heritage sites in the Moscow Region. In particular, he has been fighting for the preservation of the estate and park complex of the 18th century Arkhangelskoye estate and the establishment of one of Russia's largest museum and tourism complexes on the estate.
Yevgeny Sosedov’s work received recognition among historians and enthusiasts of national heritage preservation.
