The Executive Order, signed in connection with 700th birthday of St Sergius of Radonezh, aims to preserve cultural and moral values and to strengthen the spiritual unity of the Russian people.
Relevant instructions have been issued to the Government.
St Sergius of Radonezh (1322–1392) is the most venerated saint of medieval Russia.
