The Supervisory Board of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation held its regular meeting.

The winners were announced at a special briefing by Presidential Aide Andrei Fursenko, Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky and Presidential Adviser and Chair of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights Valery Fadeyev.

Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Magomedsalam Magomedov and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Northwestern Federal District Alexander Gutsan conducted the annual district seminar meeting in Ukhta, Komi Republic, concerning the implementation of the State National Policy Strategy of the Russian Federation for a period up to 2025. Such seminar meetings are held in each federal district, as instructed by the President.

Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights Maria Lvova-Belova reported to the President on the outcomes of the nationwide inspection of the system for the prevention of social orphanhood, carried out in line with his instructions. She also suggested transforming this system into an All-Russian Family Assistance Service.

On May 14 and 15, the Family Saving Strategy: Today’s Approaches to Rehabilitation of Parents with Alcohol and Drug Addiction nationwide seminar and conference took place in the Kaluga Region. The seminar brought together over 500 managers and specialists from 79 Russian regions, including 55 regional children’s commissioners.

The Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights Maria Lvova-Belova made a working visit to the Penza Region, where she opened the Saving Hope crisis centre for families, discussed the results of the nationwide inspection of the social orphanhood prevention system with the head of the region Oleg Melnichenko, and held a personal reception of people.

The ceremony was held in the House of the Russian Union of Writers in Moscow.
