Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order awarding an honorific designation to the 247th Air Assault Caucasian Cossack Regiment.
The ‘Guards Regiment’ honorific designation has been awarded to the regiment for the heroism, courage and steadfastness that its servicemen have displayed in military action to defend Russia and its interests in armed conflicts, and also for its services during peacetime.
Henceforth, the regiment will be known as the 247th Guards Air Assault Caucasian Cossack Regiment.
