The Federal law amends the Federal Law On Days of Military Glory and Memorable Dates in Russia to add the Day of the Unknown Soldier, observed on December 3, to the list of memorable dates in Russia.
This memorable date is established to immortalise the memory, valour and timeless feats of Russian and Soviet soldiers who died in combat within Russia or beyond its borders, whose names remain unknown.
