Amendment to the presidential executive order on rehabilitating the Bulgarian, Greek, Crimean Tatar and German peoples and supporting their revival and development

Vladimir Putin signed an executive order amending President Executive Order No. 268 of April 21, 2014, On Measures to Rehabilitate the Bulgarian, Greek, Crimean Tatar and German peoples and State Support for their Revival and Development.

The purpose of Executive Order No. 268 is to restore historical justice and remedy the consequences of the unlawful deportation of the Bulgarian, Greek, Crimean Tatar and German peoples from the Crimean ASSR and the violations of their rights that occurred.

The amendment adds the Italian people to the list of deported peoples.

In its new drafting, the Executive Order reads:On Measures to Rehabilitate the Bulgarian, Greek, Italian, Crimean Tatar and German peoples and State Support for their Revival and Development.

The relevant amendments have been made to the Executive Order’s provisions.
