The Federal Law introduces amendments concerning, in particular, voting procedures at elections and referendums, organising polling stations, and election observers’ work.
The Federal Law sets new procedures for voting in elections and referendums, allowing voters to cast their vote in their location of the moment on the basis of a statement, and makes the corresponding amendments to the Code of Administrative Offences.
Other amendments concern the time allowed to organise polling stations for elections and referendums, procedures for the appointment of observers, and rules for presentation of lists of signatures supporting candidates in elections or proposing referendums.
The Federal Law sets additional measures to protect the rights of voters with disabilities and makes the corresponding amendments to the legislation on elections and referendums and to the Federal Law On Social Protection of People with Disabilities in the Russian Federation.
