The President signed the Federal Law On Amending the Federal Law On Plant Quarantine.
The Federal Law repeals a provision whereby laboratory tests on samples of items subject to quarantine and imported into the Russian Federation were paid for from the federal budget.
In the amended version of the Federal Law On Plant Quarantine laboratory testing of samples subject to quarantine will be paid for by their owners effective until January 1, 2021.
In addition to this, the updated law stipulates that the manner in which the state phyto-sanitary control is carried out will be established by the Government of the Russian Federation.
