The President signed Federal Law On the Commissioner for the Rights of Financial Service Consumers.
The federal law defines the legal status of the commissioner for the rights of financial service consumers (Financial Commissioner), the procedure for out-of-court settlement of disputes between consumers and financial organisations, as well as a legal framework for interaction between financial organisations and the financial commissioner.
The position of Financial Commissioner has the authority to consider requests by financial service consumers to satisfying property-related claims made against financial organisations that provide financial services to them.
