Vladimir Putin signed the Federal Law On Amending the Federal Law On Fisheries and the Protection of Aquatic Biological Resources with Regard to the Improvement of Statutory Regulation of Certain Kinds of Fisheries.
The Federal Law regulates the acquisition of rights to harvest (catch) aquatic biological resources when conducting commercial, coastal and other kinds of fishing.
In particular, the law outlines the coastal regions of the Russian Federation where legal entities and individual entrepreneurs engaged in coastal fishing in the sea and in areas subject to international treaties can be registered.
