The President signed Federal Law On Amendments to the Law of the Russian Federation on Veterinary Medicine.
The Federal Law introduces changes to the Law of the Russian Federation On Veterinary Medicine concerning the inspection of facilities used in animal husbandry, production, storage and processing of goods subject to veterinary control (supervision) and exported to countries outside the Eurasian Economic Union.
It stipulates that inspections will be conducted by a federal executive body responsible for veterinary supervision. The purpose of inspections is to verify that the facilities and goods comply with the veterinary regulations of destination countries.
