The President signed Federal Law On Amendments to the Federal Law On Education and to Articles 9 and 11 of the Federal Law On Monitoring the Activities of Individuals under Foreign Influence.
The Federal Law stipulates a number of measures aimed at further improving the mechanisms of control over the activities of individuals under foreign influence.
In particular, the Federal Law prohibits foreign agents from engaging in teaching activities at state or municipal educational institutions and/or in awareness programmes for both minors and adults.
In addition, the Federal Law prohibits foreign agents from serving on the governing bodies of state corporations.
The Federal Law also states that a non-profit organisation designated as a foreign agent may not be included in the register of socially oriented non-profit organisations.
Lastly, the Federal Law prohibits the provision of municipal financial or any other material support to foreign agents, including for creative activities.
