Dmitry Medvedev signed executive orders granting pardons, in particular, to Igor Belikhov, Alexei Vankov, Gennady Vasilenko, Ivan Vinogradov, Anton Krivodanov, Alexander Zaporozhsky, Vitaliy Lomakin, Dmitry Malina, Sergei Selivanov, Sergei Skripal, Stanislav Subbotin, Igor Sutyagin.
All of the convicted persons addressed requests for pardon to the President, admitting their guilt for the crimes for which they were convicted.
In deciding to pardon these individuals Mr Medvedev took into account the fact that they all had been sentenced to terms of imprisonment, of which they had already served substantial lengths of time.
