At the UAE’s initiative, Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed Al Nahyan.
During a discussion of the aggravation of tensions around Qatar, which is worsening the already grave situation in the entire Middle East, mutual interest in defusing the crisis was expressed.
The successful implementation of the agreements reached during the recent meeting of Vladimir Putin and Mohammed Al Nahyan in Moscow was noted. The agreements provide for expanding Russian-UAE ties and promoting trade, economic and investment cooperation.
