Russian Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights Maria Lvova-Belova and United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Russia Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber agreed to promote cooperation on child-related issues and bring this effort to a new level of quality. In particular, they plan to hold a series of themed seminars and conferences to allow specialists from the two countries to exchange experience.

The parties also discussed cooperation algorithms for resolving disputes between parents in international families, assistance in providing treatment to children and many other humanitarian issues. Mr Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber supported the children’s commissioner’s proposal to create a youth centre in a Russian region.

The working meeting took place the day before Children’s Day, a national holiday the UAE marks on March 15.
