Law ratifying Russia-Armenia agreement on cooperation in supplies of gas, petroleum products and uncut diamonds to Armenia

June 30, 2014

Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Armenia on Cooperation in Supplies of Natural Gas, Petroleum Products and Uncut Diamonds to the Republic of Armenia.

The Agreement was signed in Yerevan on December 2, 2013.

The purpose of the Agreement is to organise duty-free supplies of petroleum products, natural gas and uncut diamonds before the Republic of Armenia joins the Common Economic Space.

Under the Agreement, relevant authorities of the parties shall agree on the volumes and internal consumption range of petroleum products and natural gas in the Republic of Armenia for the next calendar year.

Russia shall not charge export duty on petroleum products and natural gas supplied within the internal consumption volumes approved as part of indicative stock, or on natural uncut diamonds to be supplied to the Republic of Armenia.

The Agreement prohibits any re-export of goods supplied by the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia to third parties.
