Vladimir Putin sent his congratulations to President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on the country’s national holiday, Independence Day.
The President noted that Russian-Armenian relations are based on centuries-old traditions of friendship, mutual respect and cultural closeness and are developing with success today in the spirit of an alliance and partnership. Mr Putin also said that Armenia’s inclusion in the Eurasian integration project will help to take mutually advantageous political, trade, economic, science and technology, and humanitarian cooperation to a new level.
The President said he is confident that bilateral relations will continue to develop and the two countries will coordinate their efforts effectively to resolve regional and international issues in the interests of both peoples.
